Community impact and partnerships are integral to our college's mission and values. Yesterday, CCIE faculty and staff spent some time out in the community for our annual service day, making an impact by serving alongside SALT Outreach Inc. SALT, founded by CCIE alum Eric Camarillo, serves the unsheltered through mobile outreach centers that address immediate needs and aim to empower self-sufficiency. 💛 🖤
The community is in good hands with Anthony Rios, a triple UCF School of Public Administration alum who serves as chief of Orange County Fire Rescue — the largest fire rescue department in Central Florida, serving over 1.5 million residents and 75 million annual visitors. His 30 years in public service and experiences in academia have helped him become a strong leader with an even stronger desire to give back to the community and ensure the best conditions for the department's workforce.
